Review: The Girl Who Played with Fire
The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Not quite as good as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
This the second instalment of the Millennium Trilogy felt somewhat weaker than the first. It seemed to be disjointed in places which spoiled the flow of the narrative. It was not until the last quarter of the book that things began to gain pace and kept me wanting to know what happened next.

Review: Rebecca
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Wow!!
I have seen the TV adaptation of this many times and I did read it years ago but listening to it now brought a new depth that I had not noticed before.
The late Anna Massey was the perfect choice to narrate this.

Review: Gray Justice
Gray Justice by Alan McDermott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I am lost for words as to how much I loved this book. It was one almighty page turner, which shows in the fact that I read it in less than 24 hours and also fitted in a day at work. It has been a long time since a book has gripped me this much.
Tom Gray is an excellent character with whom you can relate easily. At the beginning you feel sorry for him but as time goes on you realise his strength and become completely on his side no matter how you feel about what he is doing.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Review: Games Traitors Play
Games Traitors Play by Jon Stock
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
MI5, MI6, the CIA, the SVR, they are all here. A delve into the world of spies and traitors. At times I struggled to figure out who were the good guys. So many twists confused the mind.
Paul Panting's narration was easy on the ear and kept the interest alive.

Review: Ovid Metamorphoses
Ovid Metamorphoses by Ovid
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I tried so hard to like this. I really did. Maybe this type of book is just not my type of book. However I did finish it and was somewhat taken aback when towards the end there was a very early reference to vegetarianism.
